Hi, I’m Erica! I’m a mom of two boys, a nurse, wife, yogi, and lover of being outside. I’ve created Healthy Habits with Erica to share my passion for incorporating more movement, healthier eating, and exploring ways to feel better with others who need a little external support.

I’ve spent most of my life trying every fad diet out there, which led me to pursue nutrition and kinesiology in college. I graduated with a major in Health and Fitness at TCU without a clear cut career path. Five years later, I went back to TCU to earn my nursing degree. I have been working as a cardiac nurse in the hospital since 2016. I love being a nurse, but feel that preventive care is almost completed overlooked in the hospital.

After having kids and realizing how busy life stays these days, I had to examine my own habits and learn to integrate healthier changes into my life amidst significant time constraints (hello, children).

For years, I wanted someone to tell me what I needed to do to eat better or lose weight, even though I knew more or less what to do. I’m here to be the support I wanted — to provide an outside perspective, help you learn what works in your life, and cheer you on every step of the way.

I’m an avid reader and huge nerd, so I love to learn the science behind the trends, learn why things work, and follow experts with diverse viewpoints.
